HEEELLLLOOOOO

Welcome to my website. It is all about the two Minis which I have owned and there are lots of pictures for you to look at too :)

My Minis....

I have owned two Minis since I first became interested in them in the winter of 2000. My first Mini, Lucifer (or Lucy to the people who knew her) was bought when I was just 16, 5 months before I passed my driving test. Over the winter of 2000 and the following months, I ploughed a lot of money and time into getting her ready and looking respectable (see the photos!)

Unfortunatly, as I was attending Mini shows throughout 2001, it dawned on me that there was not much else I could do with Lucy, so I started looking for another Mini that I could use as a project car and customise while still driving Lucy around.

In July 2001, I found the perfect car. Sitting on the side of the road with a for sale sign in the window, a blue D-red Mini with 12 months mot and a snip at 325 uk pounds. I was smitten with the idea of owning this car, as I had been looking for some time with no luck. It looked in reasonably good nick, so 3 hours later, it was sitting proudly on my driveway. This is where the horror began...

The story continues....

This Mini came to be known as Ami (prounounced Amy, but short for Andy's Mini).
As we started to inspect Ami, we found more and more rust. It really was quite depressing and at one stage I felt like giving up. The whole front panel around the indicator was lost to the elements and had been patched up, but my screwdriver acciendtly went straight through, and from then on there was no turning back. (For full details on the project of Ami, see her section of the site)

Anyway. It is now March 2002, and Lucy is gone, sold to finance Ami. There are days when I regret selling her, and then there are those days when I remember how rusty she really was (I must take this opportunity to apologise to the current owner, as about now, I should imagine he is replacing both front wings....)

Anyway, life goes on, and so does this website, so please take a look around!!
