Ami (Andy's Mini!)

Ok, here is the story of my second Mini...are you sitting comfortably?
When I first bought Ami, she was far from special.
A 1986 (D registered) Austin City E
which had been completly resprayed from the original colour of champagne grey (aka beige) to Vauxhall Regency Blue.
She needed a couple of new panels (eg, around offside headlamp, maybe front and rear valances)
but her subframes were reasonably good.
Her bodywork was obviously looking reasonably good, due to the respray, but as you will find out, all was not as it seemed...
I paid 325 uk pounds for her, with no tax, but with 11 months MOT

Here she is, at the start of her life with me

I had already changed the seats at this stage, a straight swop with some in my friends mini, as I just could not stand the standard brown things in there before...

The story so far....
I have decided to definitly keep Ami, and as you may have read already, I am selling Lucy to fund Ami. Much work has already been done, and a lot more is planned (take a look below)

exterior:
full respray in vauxhall regency blue (soon to have ford glacier blue or similar colour (silvery blue) viper stripes.
mk1 grill conversion, wipac halogen lamp conversion with white/blue bulbs, chrome bumpers, handles and windscreen wipers. rear number plate light removed, and a fiat light cut into the bodywork - and all smoothed over. square rear number plate, with number plate recess filled in, and now shaped around the square plate. 5.5" wide 'oval' (more flat than round) sportex zorst. 'funky aerodynamic' wingmirrors, blue indicator lenses all round (side repeaters oval shaped)
soon to have (with money from selling lucy):
6x12 silver saxon alloys with appropriate arches

engine:
standard 998,60k miles, but i want a stage 1 tuned mg lump within a year..

interior: (planned with money from lucy..)
mini save fibreglass dash and console to replace all existing parts, cobra clubman black bucket seats, blue 3 / 4 point harnesses, black carpets and mats, usual steering wheel, gearknob, interior handles etc. blue interior lights (including in footwell, shining up from behind steering wheel etc) rear seat taken out, carpeted over in black, i want leccy windows and central locking (they mate up to my alarm)
suggested ice install: sony 650V (or something) cd/radio (blue display) with speakers (rear and in dash etc), plus in future - one x plod 10" sub on rear bench, powered by sony x plod 2 channel amp

miscellaneous:
'la bomba' musical air horns, alarm and immobiliser, and lots of fun!!

well thats the plan anyway, the exterior is nearly finished, and the interior will be by a month or two after christmas!
